#WorldSuicidePreventionDay

Sep 10, 2020Uprisers World

Communities are facing an increase in mental health challenges related to COVID-19–associated morbidity, mortality, and mitigation activities. Suicide prevention goes far beyond simply checking in on your friends and family (although we highly encourage you to check on your loved ones). We need resources and funding to grow programs. We need leaders who create conversations and prioritize mental health.

As a society we need to be treating one another with dignity and respect regardless of what we agree or disagree on because you never know the impact your words and actions may have on someone else. If you are feeling suicidal or are experiencing emotional pain, know that you are not alone. Your life matters and your pain and struggles are valid.

Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 1-800-273-8255 running 24/7 to speak with a professional who will provide free and confidential emotional support.
