#2020Census x UPRISERS

Aug 21, 2020Lyndsey Chu

For the past month, UPRISERS collaborated with the 2020 Census Bureau as an official partner to rally our community around the #2020Census. The more we learn about the impact of the Census, the more passionate we are for every single person to be counted! ⠀

⠀
The 2020 Census will decide where $1.5 TRILLION a YEAR of federal funding is invested in our communities for the next ten years, and informs how congressional and school districts are determined. However, if our families, neighbors and friends don’t complete the Census, we will be under-represented, underfunded, and underserved. We are activating our community of warriors for change to spread awareness so that all of us are counted and marginalized communities will be given the resources needed to make strides in this country.
