UPRS Camo Bomber Jacket (Camo Wall Edition) and Matching Jorts are one-of-a-kind pieces handcrafted in Los Angeles from unused denim originally used in the UPRISERS ComplexCon 2024 installation. The fabric panels, once part of a large-scale art wall that carried the message “We See You, Therefore We Love You,” has been carefully deconstructed and reimagined into wearable, statement-making garments.

THIS ISN’T FAST FASHION — IT’S A LIVING STORY
At UPRISERS, we believe it's the story behind every thread — the history, people, and places woven into the design. Our camo jacket represents more than style. It's a living archive of community, cultural preservation, and intentional design.
THE INSPIRATION: SUEHIRO CAFE
The origin story of this jacket starts in Little Tokyo, at the historic Suehiro Cafe. When Suehiro was forced to leave its original location — a space that had held decades of memories — they left behind more than a physical address. Among the remnants was a weathered noren (Japanese fabric divider) that had hung in their doorway for years. Rather than letting it fade into the past, we transformed it into a one-of-a-kind bomber jacket — the very first prototype in what would become a journey of culture meeting community.

That original silhouette became the blueprint.
But the noren bomber was never for sale.
It wasn’t about profit — it was about preservation.

THE ROAD TO COMPLEXCON
The first iteration of the camo jacket made waves at an 88rising Night Market Neighborhood event in Los Angeles. The feedback was real, immediate, and affirming. That momentum carried us into ComplexCon, where we unveiled the final version — crafted in UPRISERS LAB using other discarded materials. Every jacket was snatched up. Sold out.
But it wasn’t just about the product. Our booth was draped in a wall-to-wall denim installation — a visual extension of our ethos. After the event, with no jackets left, we looked at that denim and asked:
What if the wall becomes a jacket, too?
THE WALL BECOMES THE WORK
Instead of discarding the denim wall, we transformed it. We cut it down, stitched it up, and gave it new life. That process led to a limited run of jackets — one of which was worn by Sydney Colson ahead of her WNBA games in Indiana.
A visual continuation of our mission: Nothing is wasted when it carries meaning.
