#HATEISAVIRUS is an instrumental movement to counter racism and xenophobia against Asians fueled from the rhetoric provoked by COVID-19. For the second #RaiseAMillion Virtual Rally and Event series, we’re stoked to announce the collaboration with Van Ness Wu. Our goal is to raise $1M to support Asian-owned businesses and organizations who have been affected by COVID-19 and  struggling to keep afloat. Donations and 100% of the net profits go directly to the #HATEISAVIRUS relief fund.

About the Artist:

Van Ness Wu, a Taiwanese-American actor, singer, entertainer and all-around visionary, debuted his brand xVESSEL in 2018. xVESSEL is influential in its avant-garde footwear and aesthetic street-ready apparel. Since its debut, xVESSEL has collaborated with a variety of creative designers and tastemaking boutiques. Wu is popularly known for his creative sneaker designs for Yohji Yamamamto, the famed Japanese designer. Wu has established a notoriety in the streetwear and sneaker community.

Their goal was to feature issues that were important to them that were not covered by mainstream media. Over time, it became known as the “Voice of the Asian American Movement." They were the face of opposition towards a society that oppressed them. 

    5% net profits will go back to KOSUMOSU: a program of LTSC (Little Tokyo Service Center) which started in 2003. This is a transitional facility for survivors of domestic violence. They provide consultation to get housing, counseling, and life skills to provide future success.
